First World War Memorial
Following the approval of the infrastructure at Langley Vale Centenary Woodland for the Woodland Trust, PlanSurv has secured planning permission for a regiment of 12 stone sculptures and a Battle of Jutland memorial area at Langley Vale Wood in Surrey.
PlanSurv worked closely with Epsom & Ewell Borough Council to secure a delegated approval with no pre-commencement conditions in the Green Belt. PlanSurv’s planning expertise, coupled with the skills of the project team, means the Woodland Trust’s site continues to provide a lasting memorial to the sacrifices made during the First World War, while communicating its vision of a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife.
