Change of Use of former Post Office to Restaurant

Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

PlanSurv successfully secured approval for the change of use of the former Post Office in Welwyn Garden City to a restaurant despite policy objections regarding the loss of retail. PlanSurv worked closely with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to secure committee approval for the proposed change of use, which will breathe new life into the area following the closure of the Post Office in 2016 and a downturn in the fortunes of the high street nationally.

PlanSurv’s planning expertise, coupled with the skills of the design team, ensured the design solution was sensitive to its location and made a positive contribution to the Conservation Area.
